Sharing

They surely share much more than we shared.

Anna, it has to be so.

The memory of things you two lived
has faded away in his memory.
Cause whatever he is living with her,
same city, same routine, is much more precious,
after 3 months together
than the crumbles you gave him in 9 months,
and he has now what he needed and wanted.
Someone near.

Anna, they are doing things together and
in 3 months, closer than you two could have ever been,
he surely erased whatever it was
you wanted to give him.

Seeing each other day by day, sharing everyday,
planning evenings just with a phone call a couple of hours before,
sleeping together every time they want,
cannot compete
with skype calls and flight bookings,
and two separate lives in two separate states,
planning weekends and weeping at departure gates.

Sharing trips, sundays and daily routine, cinema,
libraries, bookshops and pubs, restaurants
every time they want to,
cannot compete with what you had to offer him.

You had so little to offer him, Anna.

So little, that by now, has been deleted
by his mind,
replaced with fresh daily love.

They surely share so much
I couldn't, and yet wanted so much, to share.

Why are you putting the two of them together on a pedestal? Why do you think that the other love is definitely better than yours? Can't it be that it is just different?
It is not a matter of how often you are with someone. It is a matter of how good you feel with him / her.

And about Rome I remember you told it was "your city". Well, going back there with another person (as long as it is not *his* city) is kind of weird and can be seen as a lack of fantasy.

An Italian singer wrote: "Forse il vero amore vuol restare grande, preferisce chiudersi e morire in un colpo invece che appassire."
Give it a thought.

I never really like being in Rome, though I like Rome. I liked it because I was with him, my present for his b'day last year, he had never been there...and of course someone has to be in Rome. I don't even know if he is there with her or what, and I am sure he cannot see that as a replaced memory, it would just be a new memory for him. Erase and Rewind is not the case, it is just another life now for him.

I know it is a matter of quality and not quantity, but if you have quality and quantity together, maybe it is just better per se. You are right, I cannot know if the other love is better or not, but thinking that it is different doesn't really comfort me. Different is soemthing that he needs.
I don't put us on a pedestal, I am just aware of how we were until things went bad, that was on a pedestal, oh well, at least for me, not for him, surely.
I just have the tendency to prepare people for the right ones who arrive after me. And I know that if the other girl doesn't really push him to talk and confronts him they will be happily ever after. So that is why I believe their love is better and she must be better than me. At least for him.
My insecurity runs wild in this days Noodles...
I meant that you are putting the two of them on a pedestal, not you and him! ^_^

> I just have the tendency to prepare people for the right ones who arrive after me

Don't worry. This is a illness we share! Try to see it as a mission, it might hurt less! (joking :-))

COOOME OOON! eheheh

yes, I put them on a pedestal, I know...I just feel inadequate, he made me feel so inadequate. I asked him for another chance and he answered 'I have to be careful to whom I love at my age', and then after one month he fell in love again...so he just meant that I wasn't right, not even for a second chance....that made me feel inadequate and that is why I assume they are perfect....

Let me be your Muse

Breathing is just a rhythm. Let me help you create the music. Let me be your Muse, the one lightening you. Living is not believing. Let me help you believe in something more. Let me be the one driving your pen, kindling your inner language, pulling it all out. Let me speak your language, let me teach you my language. Do trust me, do let me enter. Do talk to me, as if I was a song to be written, Please, please, let me light your sun, the sun you are suffocating inside your dark soul. Let me be your Muse, that is all I've ever needed, all I've ever wanted. To be your Muse. Play my music, act my script, please, listen to my words, recite them, recite them all, but not as if they were cold and heartless, do take them in you, make them yours. Let them inspire you. Let my words inflame you. Let me inspire and inflame you. Don't ask me to be one among the others, Do not oblige me to remain silent and to hide who I am. Do not ask normality of me, Dare an...

Because He is the One

They say that when you meet the One you feel it, deep inside of you, something tingles. You try to suffocate  it because there is no way you can be right, after all the times you have been wrong. And certainly he is not the One. He can't be, he will try to escape, from you, from commitment, from intimacy, from proximity. They say that there is a moment, in everyone's life, when you know that you need to fight. And fight harder for a love, or something really similar to love, that is slipping away, that is not blossoming as it should. What happens, when do you know when is the right time to start fighting? Perhaps when do you feel that he is the One? Or when is it that you let it go instead and accept that it is over? They say that the more you grow up the more you learn to know what you like and what you will never like. They say that at some point you are bound to find people who seems to be the right ones and are not, just because of the circumstances. So...

Millennium Bridge

Mid Afternoon, with the Millennium Bridge embraced by such a weird sun, too powerful to be London, too bright. One never gets to appreciate how big is the bridge until one sees the people walking down it. Stories passing by. So humble. And suddenly I remember that night when I called him because some romantic musician was playing 'Let it be' on the bridge. And those lights...oh those lights on the Millennium bridge that night. In my eyes. Trapped in my heart. And I remember how he was touched by this gesture. One of my usual silly romantic gestures. I sit on some stone stairs which lead directly to the water of the Thames. Directly in the river. Dirty waters but smelling of summer, today, kissed by the sun, moved by the implacable wind. I stare at a couple sitting a bit before me. She is fat, he is bold., they kiss and they seem in love. They share the food. They probably found that compromise which allows every man and woman in love to accept the beloved one without getting ne...
