Authenticity is lost

"Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion."

(Dylan Thomas)

Pleasure.
Death.
Rage.
Tenderness.
Intermingled.
You can barely distinguish one from the other.

You remember all of a sudden,
in an endless night
why you are struggling between the feeling to know someone
like the back of your hand
and the hurting feeling to not know him at all.

That person who still holds the real you.

Should you trust yourself?
Should you just ignore it all?

Contaminated after the end of a love where you poured your entire soul.

Infected.
Tainted.
Polluted.
Corrupted.

Authenticity is lost.

No caress, no smile, no run or walk or move
nothing looks original anymore.

No song, no whispering love words, no promises
nothing sounds authentic anymore.

Feeling dirty, as if a ray of black light
crossed your whole body
and you cannot be white and pure and clean anymore through love
as you once were.

Authenticity is lost,
while you strive to trust another 'him',
but you don't let him enter, how can you?
as you try to tell yourself time will fix it all,
as you try to get convinced
that soon enough you'll get away from black.

And you know that time can only give you the illusion
that what you have always believed,
that "though lovers be lost, love shall not" is not true.

Just a mere illusion,
while you face the loss of your authentic feelings
and there's nothing you can do.

No, the cat don't ate my tongue or the mouse my fingers. I'm just not on the mood to make good comments for yours writings lately. But as I don't want you to think I abandoned you, I try to express how I feel.
Sorry, I really don't want to bother!

i can't believe it...i just can't believe it...i must trust that love shall not be lost..because of course, once it's gone, it's lost, or at least it seems, but the new one which will appear, and it will, even if you don't believe it or simply don't care, this new love will be perfect in its own way..it will have an authencity, be sure, different, ok, but this doesn't imply that it's not gonna worth it, that it's not gonna be real, in itself. it will just be different.. it's not gonna be A and NOT A, it's gonna be A and B- something totally different. two entities you won't be able to compare at all, even if you're sure you will. the same flame will conquer your heart, and you'll recognize it if it comes, but the way it will burn, well...everytime is a first time. i know you can't even imagine this could be possibile, but you have experienced it, even if, now, it seems to you that everything that took place before Him doesn't count..authencity is not lost, not in the way you're thinking about. you will find a new one, you will find it out in a more mature, serious, conscious way..i know it seems something miserable to your emptied soul, not unique and beautiful and pure and virgin like the previous one, but you never know..it may be better. i'm sure it will. it cannot be otherwise, you deserve something better. you deserve the best on earth.

I hope so, I really do somehow, with a shadowed part of myself. Truth is that place fpr a new one, a better one shall be made and you know that I cannot just believe ‘wait and see’, I need it now :(
I don’t mean to compare the love A and the love B, I never did and I have loved three times. I cannot compare love. But every time a love dies, a part of me dies forever, a real part and a potential part. I cannot just ignore this fact. What I am afraid of this time, is that alongside with the part of me dying with that lost love, also my ability to love is dying. You say it is not true, I know I will be poisoned forever, even if I love again, even if everytime will seem a first time, I will be always shadowed. Grazie Topo!!

Naresh, Fix you has always been a moving song to me...thank you for the reminder :)

Deeps, welcome to my blog!
Indeed love is a curious thing, what is not mine is already of someone else's...but it doesn't mean this is right or doesn't make me or everyone else suffer! :(

Let me be your Muse

Breathing is just a rhythm. Let me help you create the music. Let me be your Muse, the one lightening you. Living is not believing. Let me help you believe in something more. Let me be the one driving your pen, kindling your inner language, pulling it all out. Let me speak your language, let me teach you my language. Do trust me, do let me enter. Do talk to me, as if I was a song to be written, Please, please, let me light your sun, the sun you are suffocating inside your dark soul. Let me be your Muse, that is all I've ever needed, all I've ever wanted. To be your Muse. Play my music, act my script, please, listen to my words, recite them, recite them all, but not as if they were cold and heartless, do take them in you, make them yours. Let them inspire you. Let my words inflame you. Let me inspire and inflame you. Don't ask me to be one among the others, Do not oblige me to remain silent and to hide who I am. Do not ask normality of me, Dare an...

Because He is the One

They say that when you meet the One you feel it, deep inside of you, something tingles. You try to suffocate  it because there is no way you can be right, after all the times you have been wrong. And certainly he is not the One. He can't be, he will try to escape, from you, from commitment, from intimacy, from proximity. They say that there is a moment, in everyone's life, when you know that you need to fight. And fight harder for a love, or something really similar to love, that is slipping away, that is not blossoming as it should. What happens, when do you know when is the right time to start fighting? Perhaps when do you feel that he is the One? Or when is it that you let it go instead and accept that it is over? They say that the more you grow up the more you learn to know what you like and what you will never like. They say that at some point you are bound to find people who seems to be the right ones and are not, just because of the circumstances. So...

Millennium Bridge

Mid Afternoon, with the Millennium Bridge embraced by such a weird sun, too powerful to be London, too bright. One never gets to appreciate how big is the bridge until one sees the people walking down it. Stories passing by. So humble. And suddenly I remember that night when I called him because some romantic musician was playing 'Let it be' on the bridge. And those lights...oh those lights on the Millennium bridge that night. In my eyes. Trapped in my heart. And I remember how he was touched by this gesture. One of my usual silly romantic gestures. I sit on some stone stairs which lead directly to the water of the Thames. Directly in the river. Dirty waters but smelling of summer, today, kissed by the sun, moved by the implacable wind. I stare at a couple sitting a bit before me. She is fat, he is bold., they kiss and they seem in love. They share the food. They probably found that compromise which allows every man and woman in love to accept the beloved one without getting ne...
